Sandra Evans is a Long Islander who communicates on canvas to produce sacred and secular art. As a spiritual painter, she works under “Art In The Word” using art as a tool to preach the gospel. Evans paints with oils her spiritual connections through different landscapes, seascapes, and still lives. Being influenced by the Bible, paintings, positive people, dancing, good books, and theatre. Sandra studied visual art and theatre at Suffolk Community College in Selden NY, and theology at the Upper Room Christian World Center. She also completed the Bob Ross painting technique and was certified as a Bob Ross painting instructor. Evans was awarded for best speaker at ToastMasters International where she studied public speaking.

With her combined experience, she is completing writing a spiritual and Christ-Centered book to help people come out of unhealthy relationships and adulterous affairs illustrated with paintings to portray her message to people who are hurting due to emotional pain. You will be able to see how she implement knowledge from her studies at Bible College and the Celebrate Recovery Program, which is a 12 step Christ-Centered program.

“I can do all things through Christ Jesus who strengthens me.” –Philippians 4:13

As words shape who we are, constructing the building blocks to what we do, it is important to only feed ourselves with positive thoughts and emotions. Sandra says, “When people are hurting or need a place to escape, looking at a piece of art makes them leave their reality for a while.” She thrives on helping people move away from pain to peace and is most productive when influencing the world with her art and the word.

Currently, Sandra Evans runs workshops that allow beginner or experienced artists to express themselves artistically and through the word. Publicly she has not shown her work as she is concentrated on preparing to publish the book. Following that she looks forward to preparing her venture to spread her work. Sandra hopes to visit Tuscany so that she could paint landscapes and share her art with the world. You can discover more of her work by visiting her website.
